Dietary modification, for example, has become a key weapon against illnesses that would have needed in depth prescription drug treatment a generation ago.

However, overwhelmingly, food is typically the culprit. We tend to consumer fattier & less nutritious meals during the late fall to early winter seasons. As weight loss becomes more challenging this ultimately causes you to work out even harder after the holiday seasons...unless you take action to offset the excess weight.    I believe that it is quite possible to create a nutritious and de

People Need Help....

As you all know, one of my main objectives here on "KurtMIND" is to help those of us that are interested in improving their health. There are many paths to take toward this goal and I try to offer a few options for you. I regularly read about health problems that are plaguing the masses at large worldwide. One of the biggest issues out there is toxicity. People want to know how to detoxify properly .    You can find the definition of the word toxicity as "the state of being toxic or the degree to which a substance is toxic".  What makes one toxic?

What Is Organic Food ? Good Question.....

Organic foods have been a heated topic of discussion for years between both academics & health food enthusiasts alike. I am not here to get into the intricacies of either argument. I will leave that to the appropriate forums dedicated to that type of debate. I simply want to illustrate the benefits of natural, untreated foods. First, a layman's definition of organic food.

Two Great Recipes

Heat Respite?

Hello everyone! I'm not sure if you are all aware or not, but we have had a MASSIVE heat wave here in Chicago & pretty much most of the upper Midwestern states. Average temps have been around 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. This extraordinary weather pattern has unfortunately caused some casualties over the past few weeks.

Hey There!!

I sincerely hope you enjoyed my article on the "Nine Easy Facts About Fiber". It is one of my favorite subjects in the realm of health maintenance. I received a couple of e-mails from some friends of mine that told me they were really surprised by some of my facts that I provided (especially points 7-9). Believe it or not there was actually a great deal of controversy about dietary fiber requirements in some academic circles. Anyway, I'd like to invite you to check out more of my articles on health maintenance. If you like (or *gulp* dislike) what you've read  let's talk about it. I'm always open to discussion. Until next time. I'm all ears.........

My first entry should not be an apology, but I feel that I should. I have been a bit derelict in my posting duties here and I see that I have had some visitors looking for some content. Well, wonder no more fellow health enthusiasts. I am finally posting some interesting stuff for you to read.
